1998 saw the first awards evening for the societies of the University of Hull. It was a great evening all round, helped along by copious amounts of alcohol. Not only did we have the Society Member of the year in our midst (oh, that'd be me!!!) but we also rounded off the evening nicely by becoming the first Society of the Year. We ended up with quite a lot of silver by the end of awards evening.
In 1998/99 we had the honour of becoming the Pissed Up Society of the Year.
In the year 2002 the union had the dubious honour of presenting SHAGS with the award for best small society, due to our size! Our President Abi Phillips had the honour of recieving the Best President award at the event!!
