Somehow we got talked into sitting on a lorry and being driven round
Hull for the afternoon in an attempt to collect lots of money for charity.
A theme for the float was required and after a lot of thought and discussion
(???) the idea "The Great Outdoors" was chosen.
Far too early on Saturday morning 2 devotees,
here's one
, started trying to make a lorry look less lorry-like and eventually,
with the aid of some kindly provided bacon sandwiches and a few more
willing volunteers, a result was achieved!
the final result!
The procession became a bit of a pub crawl for some ("people in pubs donate
the most money") and a chance to laze in the sun and catch up on a bit of
sleep (after a trip to Spiders the night before!) for others.
