POLYGONACEAE

Persicaria

Persicaria amphibia

Amphibious Bistort

Found in both wet, grassy places and dry waste places. Superficially similar to P. maculosa but shape of leaf base is characteristic.

Persicaria maculosa

Redshank

Widespread, waste places.

Persicaria lapathifolia

Pale Persicaria

Probably more common and widespread than above distribution suggests. Only coming into flower later in the survey period and only recorded when flowering material available.
