General Aims of the MEd Programme:

To further high quality learning, to foster a participative approach involving students actively in the process, to encourage application of theory and research in education and learning to practice, and to develop critical thinking in education and learning.

General Objectives of the MEd Programme:

On successful completion of the MEd Programme, participants should be able to:

  1. understand the nature of the learning process
  2. carry out independently a piece of scholarly work, locate and evaluate information relevant to a topic or issue, and apply that learning
  3. understand the importance of partnership in both teaching and research processes
  4. critically analyse and solve problems, making relevant links between theory and practice
