Learning Dutch On-Line

I get some requests about how to learn Dutch. See the following links:

  • 2BDutch. 2BDutch (to be Dutch) is an easy and fun way to learn more about Dutch language and culture. Our videos with multiple subtitles can be used to practice your listening comprehension skills and learn new Dutch words. Or just get more information about the Netherlands. 2BDutch is a community. Everyone can participate.
  • Digital Dialects! Interactive activities for learning Dutch
  • The Dutch Language Web Site. Dutch language schools, dictionary, words and other resources
  • Chris Sonnemans's Learn Dutch! Page
  • The Virtual Department of Dutch Learning resource based at University College London
  • Speak Dutch! A new online course.  Lots of sound tracks to practice pronunciation.
  • Learn Online. Another new online course of Dutch spelling and grammar. You may have browser problems. It claims to require Internet Explorer, but will work with some other browsers (Safari and OmniWeb) but not others. Good advice on spelling and grammar.
  • BUBL Dutch links (includes several Dutch language courses)
  • Dutch-English Study Group. Very useful on-line discussion group for Dutch learners.
  • JLearnIt. Online Dictionaries/Grammar for English, French, Spanish, Dutch, German, Italian, Hebrew, Portuguese, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Hungarian, Russian, Latin and Czech. A Java application. Also downloadable.
  • http://www.hetbegintmettaal.nl. Site voor mensen in Nederland die willen inburgeren en de Nederlandse taal leren. "De Nederlandse taal verbindt ons allemaal."

Dutch Translation Services

  • Romo Translations, expert Dutch Translators available for all your Dutch Language needs.
