On your handheld device (iPhone, iPad or iPodTouch) to configure it to send and receive mail from the University's Microsoft Exchange Server

Click on the "Settings" icon on your device
on the page that opens, scroll down to "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
click on that
on the page that opens, click on "Add Account"
on the page that opens, click on "Microsoft Exchange"
enter the appropriate information as follows:
E-mail: Your E-mail address
Server: exfs.adir.hull.ac.uk
Domain: adir.hull.ac.uk
your username
your password
Description: University of Hull
Use SSL: ON

You can set up as many mail accounts on your device as you wish, providing that you have all the essential data (username, password, mail server details, SMTP server details), both POP and IMAP accounts.

IMPORTANT: If you want to reply to an E-mail, but want the reply to go from another of your mail accounts, click on the FROM box in the reply E-mail and a window will open with details of your other accounts. This is particularly useful if you have a POP account, as many ISPs will only accept mail incoming from a particular phone number (via ASDL or cable).
