The prediction of smoke properties and obscuration in
compartment fires
1998-2001, EPSRC GR/L68438/01
The overall objective of this project was to develop the predictive capabilities
of CFD in respect of fires in compartments to embrace the distribution
of smoke properties and their effect on visibility. Two specific goals
were the provision of spatially resolved measurements of smoke properties
in a standard compartment fire and the model development necessary for
their computational prediction.
