Henry Zouch (c.1725-1795) and Thomas Zouch (1737-1815) were the sons of Charles Zouch, vicar of Sandal near Wakefield, a post to which they succeeded in turn. Both went to Trinity College, Cambridge, Thomas Zouch becoming the greater scholar and being largely remembered for his work on Izaak Walton. Henry Zouch was an antiquarian interested in social reform. Something of a religious eccentric, he insisted in being buried in his garden. The Library holds one letter for each of them [DP/1-2].
