Howes, Peter

The published works of the Reverend Peter H H Howes (1911- ) are embedded in the papers of Royston Aubrey Bruton (1936-1993). Howes studied for the Anglican ministry in 1929 at Kelham Theological College and became a missionary with the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel. He worked with the Bidayuh (Land Dayaks) of Sarawak and in 1976 was appointed Assistant Bishop of Kuching before retiring in 1981. The works include Shun Byambu Nang (1952) [DRB/10].
