
East Riding Clergy Charitable Society
The East Riding Clergy Charitable Society began in 1781 to provide relief for the families of impoverished church ministers. The archive includes the minute books of general meetings from 1781, rules and lists of officers and subscribers, as well as lists of pensioners and recipients of grants, cash books, details of stock investments, various press cuttings and details of life insurance schemes through to 1963 [DDCV(2)/81].
