
Medieval title deeds for Little Kelk and Rudston are contained in the Wickham-Boynton family collection. Some have been printed in W T Lancaster, The chartulary of Bridlington Priory (1912) [DDWB/12; DDWB/15]. There is also a 13th century exchange between Bridlington Priory and Walter Boynton [DDWB/20/1]; a copy of the gift of free warren in 1290 [DHO/12/19] and an 18th century copy of a letter from the Prior to Thomas Cromwell dated 1531 confirming that Gilbert of Gaunt and not the King founded the Priory [DDKG/9].
