Friends Historical Society

The Society was founded in 1903 and has issued an annual journal, the Journal of the Friends Historical Society, ever since.  This includes numerous articles and research notes on aspects of Yorkshire Quaker history.  The Society also organises conferences and talks, and is currently investigating the formation of a north of England branch. The 1997 issue of the journal (volume 58, number 1) includes a useful discussion on 'The future of Quaker history', by the Society's President, H Larry Ingle.
