The Centre for MR Investigations opened in 1992 and provides both a clinical service for the Hull & East Yorkshire hospitals NHS trust and a scientific research programme under the auspices of Yorkshire Cancer Research |
| We have THREE state-of-the-art MRI scanners on site, operating at two different field strengths: At 1.5 Tesla we have both a Philips Intera and a GE Signa system. In 2004, we installed our third scanner, one of the first 3.0 Tesla whole-body capable systems in Europe. This is housed in a purpose-built lab at the rear of the Centre. |
