The Facilities within MediCET can be split into the following areas:

• Advance Imaging - 3D model generation using a MicroCT Scanner, Laser Scanner and 3D Digitiser.
• Biomaterials Testing Laboratory - Used to determine the material properties and characteristics of small samples, using a Nonoindenter and Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA).
• Biomechanical Testing Laboratory - Tension and Compression testing along with Fatigue Testing. Dataloggers are also used to record both static and dynamic strain gauge data.
• Software Laboratory - 3D Cad modelling using Solidworks, Finite Element Analyis (FEA) using ANSYS and MSC Marc, Simulation using Adams, 3D Visualisation using Amira, Patran and IDL as well as Biomechanics Modelling using LifeMOD.

In addition, MediCET can call on the resources in the Universities Clinical Biosciences Institute and access the facilities and expertise that are in the local hospitals by working with colleagues in the Medical School and NHS Trusts. With the HIVE (Hull Immersive Visualization Environment) suite, these facilities provide an unique combination of equipment and expertise.
