MediCET is a business unit which has been set up by the University of Hull to support industry in the rapidly growing market of healthcare technology. The unit acts as a consultancy giving companies access to the University's academic expertise and extensive range of test equipment including MicroCT scanning, Biomechanical Testing and Biomaterials Testing.

MediCET can help you:

• Design your products using the latest 3D CAD tools.
• Analyse your designs using Finite Element Analysis.
• Test the materials used within your components to determine their mechanical properties and suitability.
• MicroCT Scan samples to build up a 3D model allowing you to analyse product performance.
• Generate a Finite Element Model from the CT scan data allowing you to identify areas of high stress concentration.
  

MediCET forms part of the Centre for Medical Engineering Technology (CMET) which acts as a focus for Medical Engineering activities at the University of Hull, and brings together a broad range of activities (in research, research training, teaching and reach out) associated with the development and application of technology in medicine. CMET aims to research, develop and promote technology in healthcare with the goal of giving patients an improved quality of life.
