LINKS WITH INDUSTRY

The MBE group has a number of research collaborations with industry, and is always looking to develop others. In addition, the University has established a business unit, MediCET, to exploit the expertise and facilities within medical engineering.

MediCET undertakes a wide range of activities for industry, including:

  • services rendered and consultancy
  • feasibility studies
  • medical device design and development
  • medical device evaluation and testing
  • material property and geometry characterisation
  • product research
  • short and long-term contract research
  • general project assistance (funding, management and delivery)
