What is WebBridge?
WebBridge is a tool that can be used in two ways. Firstly it is able to link from a reference in a database to the full-text of that article in another database. This makes it easier for you to move from a reference to reading the article itself.
WebBridge has also been set up to link from in the library catalogue. When you search for any resource you will have the option to view it in other library catalogues and if you are looking at book titles you will have the option to also locate these in an online bookshop.
The library is developing WebBridge and we will gradually be setting up links between more databases and fulltext resources in the coming months.
How do I use WebBridge?
It is very easy to use. When you are searching for articles in databases simply look for the Find at Hull button
In the library catalogue click the Other Resources button.
This will present the option of searching across COPAC, a catalogue comprising of major university and national libraries catalogues in the UK and Ireland including the British Library catalogue, and if you are looking at a book title which has an ISBN you will also have the option to search for it in the Waterstones online bookshop.
