Our current materials work covers all aspects of liquid crystals - from ferroelectrics and antiferroelectrics to nematics and thermochromics.

Through our research we have developed a number of novel synthetic approaches to complex materials via important intermediates such as boronic acids and compounds useful in the synthesis of heterocycles e.g. 5-bromo-2-iodopyrimidine.  Many of the intermediates cost less than the prices quoted by the catalogue suppliers and several are accessible in quantities up to 1kg
