INCOFISH Workpackage 2 (WP2)

The INCOFISH Project Start-up Workshop was held in Kiel, Germany, from 5 to 7 October, 2005. It was attended by Leaders and representatives from each of the Workpackages . Its primary aims were:
   — to get to know each other;
   — produce harmonised agendas for Workpackages;
   — produce a harmonised agenda for the project as a whole.
Attending representatives from WP2 gathered on 6 October to discuss these issues as they related specifically to WP 2.

Workshop 2.1, held in Tallinn, Estonia from 3 to 4 March 2006, was attended by representatives from each of the WP2 partners and additional interested parties from WP1 and WP11. Its primary aims were:
   — to select key aquatic resources;
   — identify potential data sources;
   — distribute tasks to establish historical datasets.

Workpackage 1 Workshop 1.1.1 , held in Los Baños, Philippines from 16 to 19 May 2006, was hosted and conducted by Workpackage 1. It was attended by Workpackage Leaders and Technical Staff from each Workapackage. Its primary aims were:
   — to agree on timelines and procedures for online deliverables of the INCOFISH project.
The WP2 Leader and Data Manager reported on developments and progress, and contributed to the proceedings.

The INCOFISH Mid-Term Workshop was held in La Paz, Mexico in March 2007. Attended by representatives from ALL of the INCOFISH Workpackages, its primary aims were:
   — to finalise the 2nd annual scientific report;
   — to decide on INCOFISH related matters.
The WP2 Leader and Data Manager reported on developments and progress, and contributed to the proceedings. Attending representatives from WP2 gathered on 14 March to discuss issues relating specifically to WP 2.

Workpackage 2 Workshop 2.2, held in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador in July 2007, was attended by representatives from each of the WP2 partners and additional interested parties from WP1 and WP3. Its primary aims were:
   — to synthesise research findings and thereby establish baselines against which the current status of selected marine ecosystems can be assessed;
   — to foster interaction with other INCOFISH workpackages, especially WP1 and WP3;
   —to organise the dissemination of findings via publications, reports and the INCOFISH website.

A Workpackage 2 Mini-Workshop was held in Hull, UK, in October 2007. It was attended by representatives from several WP2 partners and additional interested parties from WP1 and WP3. Its primary aims were:
   — to synthesise research findings and thereby establish baselines against which the current status of selected marine ecosystems can be assessed;
   — to foster interaction with other INCOFISH workpackages, especially WP1 and WP3;
   —to organise the dissemination of findings via publications, reports and the INCOFISH website.
