The Institute for Chemistry in Industry was established in 1992 as a component of the University of Hull's Department of Chemistry in order to maintain and develop strong links with the industrial and public services, especially, but not exclusively, in the Humber Region.  Click on the links to the left to discover more about the Institute's services to industry.

The Institute has 80 mature students registered on its NEBOSH and BSc Accredited Safety & Environmental Management courses along with over 60 Consultancy clients.

The Institute for Chemistry in Industry is an important component of the University of Hull's "reach out" portfolio, through which the University develops its external interaction locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.  The Institute has made strong efforts to be "user friendly" and can assure potential clients a warm welcome.  It can point to many successes over the last nineteen years, and looks forward to building on its achievements, especially to the benefit of local and regional enterprises.

The Institute's Office and Teaching Rooms are located in the Ferens Building,  whilst the dedicated laboratory and other facilities are within the adjoining main Chemistry Building.  The Institute's general office telephone number is +44 (0) 1482 465455.
