Research Project
A scoping study was conducted with members of the advisory group to establish research
priorities for the Observatory. Key observations from the scoping study included a common
interest in the Humber ports, a need to better understand the spatial connectivity of the
ports to the city-region and beyond and also an interest in exploring how development and
conservation pressures are being reconciled in estuaries, particularly those in Europe.
Following consultation with its Advisory Group, the Hull & Humber City Region Observatory
has developed the following research proposal. The project will be completed by July 2008.
