The project will have the following outputs:
- Final Reports (giving recommendations on key findings to inform future policy and project
implementation, principally amongst members of the advisory group but also the wider
community e.g. Yorkshire Forward)
- Two articles in academic/practitioner journals (e.g. Local Economy, Regional Studies)

- Press releases (local press e.g. Hull Daily Mail, Yorkshire Post)
- Workshop/seminar for local and regional stakeholders and academics to communicate key findings

Ports in Proximity - International Congress on Ports in Proximity, 5-7th December 2007. Amy Proctor and John Mangan (Logistics Institute, University of Hull) presented a paper entitled ‘The influence of external factors on the role of ports: the case of the Humber ports in the UK’. A scoping study was conducted with selected members of the advisory group in May & June
2007 to determine research priorities for the Observatory. A report presenting the key
