Biogeographical Zones

Although the island offers a myriad of different habitats, they can be conveniently be grouped into a series of biogeographical zones. Although there will be much variation in the flora and fauna within a particular zone there will be a broad underlying similarity. The similarities arise from a combination of the climatic, topographical and land use factors.
