Summary

Karen joined the University of Hull as a partnership area tutor in September 2015 and strives to make a real difference to the lives of trainees.

Working collaboratively with many diverse partnership schools, she aims to provide an integral supportive role in creating an outstanding student experience.

Karen works as a PAT on a number of programmes including undergraduate, postgraduate and Schools Direct teaching programmes.

In addition, she has the role of UG Year 3 School Experience Coordinator ensuring trainees and partnership schools have a firm understanding of the requirements for their final school experience on their journey to achieving Qualified Teacher Status.

In her previous role, Karen worked for 24 years as an effective classroom practitioner, beginning her career in KS2 and leaving the classroom as an established EYs foundation stage teacher.
