Since joining the University of Hull, he has held a variety of roles including: EFL tutor, Italian lector and coordinating support in the Shoosmith Language Learning Centre. Ian previously worked as an EFL tutor in Italy, developing interests in English for academic purposes, business English and English for specific purposes by delivering courses for the Italian Army. He holds a lifelong passion for languages, language learning and teaching.
