Employment and Women's Studies:
The Impact of Women’s Studies Training on
Women’s Employment in Europe.
Acronym : EWSI
The project (1 October 2001 - 1 October 2003) was divided into the
following phases:
1) the collection of background
data relating to Women’s Studies and its institutionalization in the
various European countries; the degree of institutionalization of
Equal Opportunities across Europe, and women’s employment data
(1945-2000);
This phase resulted
in country-specific reports, accessible under 'Reports' on the left,
and in Gabriele Griffin, ed. Women's Employment, Women's
Studies, and Equal Opportunities 1945-2001: Reports from Nine European
Countries. Hull: Hull University, 2002.
2) the collection of quantitative
and qualitative data via questionnaires and interviews about Women's
Studies' students' experiences of their employment and of equal
opportunities;
