The eight pages of the Palaeographical Finding List will be published on CD-ROM by Brepols Publishers.
To illustrate the layout of the Palaeographical Finding List the first and the last pages have been scanned in.
for a list of the abbreviations which occur in KB 128 E 2 see the Coding List (Table of Contents).
the Palaeographical Finding List orders alphabetically under each abbreviation all the word forms which contain this particular abbreviation.
each word form containing a particular abbreviation is preceded by its frequency.
the actual references to these word forms will eventually be made available when the Concordance is published on CD-ROM by Brepols Publishers.
The Palaeographical Finding List presents a list of all the abbreviations that occur in the MS. The abbreviations are grouped into ambiguous and non-ambiguous abbreviations.
In the alphabet abbreviations are treated as separate letters. The ambiguous abbreviations are listed at the beginning of the alphabet and the non-ambiguous abbreviations are listed at the appropriate letter in the alphabet. They follow the letters which they represent.
The Palaeographical Finding List is arranged as an Alphabetical Frequency List of Abbreviations. It is in fact a reduced version of the Alphabetical Frequency and Finding List but now arranged according to the individual abbreviations.
The Index to the Palaeographical Finding List gives the Total Frequencies
for Each Abbreviation. On the future CD-ROM one can access from the Index the
relevant sections of the Palaeographical Finding
List where the individual
word forms containing the abbreviation are listed, together with their frequencies.
From the individual word forms in the Palaeographical Finding List one will
then be able to return to the corresponding word forms in the Alphabetical
Frequency and Finding List.
