The European Reception of Dante Project has been funded by the British Academy, and to date it has produced electronic editions of three eighteenth-century English translations, those of Henry Boyd (complete), William Hayley (partial) and Lord Charlemont (partial). This site contains the Boyd translation, transcribed by research assistant Kathryn Cheshir. A copy has been lodged with the Arts and Humanities Data Service. The Hayley and Charlemont editions will be posted on the web in due course.
