Hornsea development plan

The Town and Country Planning system of the United Kingdom is designed to regulate the development and use of land in the public interest. This is achieved through the preparation of development plans which are prepared following a statutory process of public consultation and debate. Development Plans are intended to provide a firm basis for rational and consistent decisions on planning applications and appeals and provide all concerned with a measure of certainty about what types of development will and will not be permitted. The Holderness District Wide Local Plan sets out the Council's proposals for future development in Holderness to 2006.
