Tourism
has an economic and physical influence on the Holderness coast and
Humber estuary. Millions of visitors travel to and stay at the many
coastal towns along the Holderness coast sustaining a large and
varied number of tourist attractions, accommodation types and transport
services based in both the towns and countryside. Tourism along
the east coast and estuary is shaped by a pattern of principal towns,
coastal resorts, small historic market towns, villages and natural
landscape features. Many people travel by car but it is becoming
increasingly popular to use more sustainable form of transport i.e.
bikes, trains and buses.
