Bridlington Beaches

Link to information on Bridlington beaches. By looking under 'Places to Visit' and the subsection 'Places to Visit' you will be able to gain information on Bridlington foreshore, and both the south and north beaches.

Bridlington North Promenade

Bridlington North Promenade stretches 2 miles from the North Harbour Wall up to Limekiln Lane. Services provided at Bridlington North Promenade include:

Blue Flag Status: Bridlington operates a safe bathing flag system.
Life Guards: Lifeguards patrol the beaches during periods of peak usage at Bridlington North and South beaches only. Signs indicate the designated areas.
Beach Chalets: There are 46 at the north end of the beach at North Marine Drive/Limekiln Lane, which are available for hire. These can be hired by the day, week, or year. Contact 01262 678255 during normal office hours or visit the appropriate Foreshore Office in Bridlington (both of which are well-signposted from the seafront).
Deckchairs: Available for hire, from several rental points, well signposted on the seafront.
Land Train: Two trains operate two different services : from Leisure World to Limekiln Lane ; and from Limekiln Lane to Sewerby Park.
First Aid: Located at Beaconsfield Promenade.
Foreshore Office: Located at Beaconsfield Promenade.
Other Facilities: Various cafes, food and fancy good outlets along the full length of the promenade.


Foreshore facilities are operated during the busier tourist times, which are from Easter to October. The times of opening of individual facilities may vary, and will not generally be available during periods of adverse weather.

Bridlington South Promenade

Bridlington South Promenade stretches 2 miles from the Harbour South Wall to the Boat Compound. Information on services provided at Bridlington South Promenade include:

Beach Chalets: There are 30 chalets along Princess Mary Promenade, 19 chalets along Belvedere Promenade, and 16 chalets on the beach at South Cliff (at the seaward side of the boat compound). These can be hired by the day, week, or year. Contact 01262 678255 during normal office hours or visit the appropriate Foreshore Office in Bridlington (both of which are well-signposted from the seafront).
Deckchairs: Available for hire, from several rental points.
Kiddies Corner: Close to the Spa Royal Hall. This has rides, slides and other games. Opening times are subject to weather conditions.
Land Train: Operates from Belvedere Car Park to the Spa Royal Hall.
Paddling Pool: Princess Mary Promenade.
First Aid: Located at Princess Mary Promenade
Foreshore Office: Located at Princess Mary Promenade
