The Journal of Legislative Studies is the definitive research periodical on legislatures.

Approach

First published in 1995, it has established itself as indispensable reading for scholars and researchers of legislative studies. The quarterly publication is refereed and covers all aspects of legislative research and development. It is global in scope, interdisciplinary in range, and eclectic in approach. Articles are submitted by scholars as well as leading public figures and encompass legislative theory, comparative research and country-specific empirical research.

Recent contributors include leading international academics and politicians such as Leon (Lord) Brittan, Eric Damgaard, Douglas (Lord) Hurd, Gerhard Loewenberg, Pippa Norris, Philip (Lord) Norton, David Olson, Samuel C.
