Dr J Greenman attended an awards ceremony in Milan Italy on 24 January 2008 and jointly received a Knowledge Transfer Partnership Award on behalf of the University of Hull in conjunction with Professor Sara Mantero, Politecnico di Milano. 

PhD Studentships 2008
Applications are invited for 3 University of Hull PhD Studentships. Funding is available for 3 years to cover fees and stipend.  To apply please send a maximum of 2 pages of A4 (smallest font size 11 allowed), to Dr  Greenman, email to: mailto:r.e.green@hull.ac.uk

The application should address the following points:
  • Must be inter-disciplinary, involving at least 3 Departments, or distinct groupings.  The value of each party needs to be clearly stated.
  • Must fit within one of the Clinical Bioscience Institutes themes
  • There must be an explicit statement as to the source of consumable funds

Supervisory arrangements to be clear, as must the track-record of supervisors

Clinical Biosciences funded student wins departmental prize

Ms Amanda Sparke (from Dr S J Archibald's group) was awarded the Prize for the best talk at the Departmental Research Forum held on June 18-19, 2007. Ms Sparke's work, in the field of Lanthanide macrocylic complexes, MRI and optical contrast agents is a significant step-forward in Clinical Chemistry, funded via the Hull University Clinical Biosciences Institute.
