This site contains information about "Children 5-16: Growing into the Twenty-First Century" - an exciting and innovative Research Programme from the Economic and Social Research Council. Its twenty-two different projects have a common theme: looking at children as social actors. Its findings about children's experience of and response to contemporary society will have wide-ranging implications for policy and practice.
