Purpose
Though of very simple structure, the biaxial nematic phase has remained elusive for many years. Interest has recently increased considerably, however many aspects of molecular design, physical characterisations, simulation and theoretical description are still not clear.
The purpose of the meeting is to bring interested researchers together to advance the field.
