Enterprise

The Department of Computer Science provides services to industry, business and the local community.  Much of this activity is undertaken within our two centres:

• HIVE a multi-million pound visualization research centre, enabling access to both state of the art facilities and cutting edge research
• SEED our commercial software development unit, with its range of products and software services.

Departmental activities and links with business and industry are varied, and range from work placement for students, to consultancy on technical and research activities. We also act as a gateway, giving access to the full range of expertise available within the University.

Staff have a range of complementary skills and expertise in teaching, research, commercial training, consultancy, and community activities, all of which are potentially available.
