Introduction to the Degree Ceremonies Office

The University of Hull has a long tradition of enhancing the education of students from overseas, and in any year around 15% of our students are from countries outside the UK. Currently we have students from more than a hundred countries, with especially large groups from India, Japan, Malaysia, China, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the USA, Ghana and Nigeria, as well as all European countries.

Our teaching staff value and encourage the university’s mix of UK and international students as one that creates a positive and enriching learning environment; and our International Students’ Association (which helps coordinate social and cultural activities) is one of the largest and most dynamic of the students' union societies.

• International Office staff come from six countries and speak 18 languages between them.

• We advise prospective students about entry requirements, application procedures, visas, accommodation, tuition fees and scholarships.

• We oversee international exchanges and year abroad schemes.
