The University of Hull

The University of Hull: building for the future

The University first opened its doors to students almost 80 years ago. Since then, we haven’t just kept up with the times – we’ve stayed ahead of them. And we’re continuing to do so, with an ongoing programme of investment in the Hull and Scarborough Campuses ensuring that our students benefit from a superb environment in which to live and learn.

From plazas to parking spaces, from bars to broadcasting studios, the University’s campuses are being transformed. More than £30 million has been committed to site enhancements, including the creation of a business quarter, widespread improvements to our social facilities and extensive upgrades to our accommodation.

The University’s recently published five-year Strategic Plan identifies the development of our estate as a key objective – a fundamental part of our dedication to delivering a first-class student experience.
