Photocopying and digital imaging

A limited photocopying service is available for archives and rare books. All photocopying is undertaken by archives staff.  Photocopies can be supplied for undergraduate study and research, provided the original is in good condition and subject to copyright law.

Please pick the most important documents for your research, rather than requesting entire files and sequences of documents for photocopying. Where items are too fragile or unwieldy for photocopying, digital images may be supplied instead; please consult staff for details.

Copies currently cost: 25p per A4 sheet and 30p per A3 sheet.

A photocopy request form must be completed for all items - these are available from archives staff.  Your order may be ready for you to take away when you leave, but at busy periods, it is not always possible to photocopy on demand.  If this is the case, you can collect your order by arrangement at a later date or have it posted to you. Payments can be made in cash or by cheque, made payable to Hull City Council'.

Laptops, microfilm and audio-visual equipment

There are power points available in the search room for the use of laptops.  Hull History Centre has a wireless network, which you can log onto with your username@hull.ac.uk and your usual password.
