Established in 2008, the Logistics Institute is now a world-renowned centre for research, education and expertise in logistics and supply chain management. We are a leader in applied logistics research and industry outreach programmes, both national and international. Our focus is to drive sustainable growth through viable logistics.

We've directly driven more than 500 businesses towards supply chain solutions. And we've helped to train hundreds of logistics graduates who've gone on to effect change on a global level.

Green Port Impact Assessment

In January 2016, the Logistics Institute at the University of Hull was awarded a contract by Green Port Hull (GPH) to provide an economic, social and environmental impact assessment of the Siemens Gamesa and ABP investment with a view to investigating and advising on how to best sustain the growth of the renewables sector in the region.

LHOFT Project

Technology being developed by the University will enable multiple cargo owners to pool volumes so they can reduce perceived risks associated with using new sea and rail services.

The Liverpool-Humber Optimisation of Freight Transport (LHOFT) project, through Innovate UK, is a study led by P&O Ferries and the University of Hull's Logistics Institute.
