Civil Ceremony Room Capacities

Your ceremony would normally take place in a room separate to that of your reception and our staff will advise of the room most suitable to meet your requirements.
Now that civil ceremonies are proving so popular, couples are creating more lavish elements to their ceremonies. By law, all that is required in this non-religious service is an exchange of vows, but you can add songs, taped or live music such as a pianist or trio, a poetry reading or even show a video. Depending on your imagination you can make a civil ceremony as simple or elaborate as you wish.
Following the ceremony, which normally lasts approximately twenty minutes, your photographer will escort you and your guests into the University's beautiful grounds and gardens for your wedding photographs.
Once you have decided on a date for your wedding contact us to make a provisional booking and then contact the Registrar direct to make the necessary arrangements for the ceremony.
To assist prospective couples, guidance notes regarding the necessary formalities are available from the Superintendent Registrar's Office.
