About the course

The BEd (Hons) 1 year top-up course in Education and Early Years is ideal for students wishing to work in a professional capacity in the early education sector.

You’ll study the provision of education and care for young children, and the significant impact that this has on their educational achievement and life chances. The course provides knowledge and awareness of child development and pedagogical approaches for working with young children and their families. You will be encouraged to question not only the aims and values of education and early years’ practices and processes, but also the philosophies, beliefs and attitudes that inform them from a global perspective. If you have an interest in the way young children learn and develop, this is the course for you.

If you require a Tier 4 student visa to study or if your first language is not English you will be required to provide acceptable evidence of your English language proficiency level.
