Employability is at the core of this course, and is embedded into the course design. The hands-on skills you learn can be easily transferred into a variety of biology or ecology based careers.
Our graduates have gone on to rewarding careers as ecological consultants, in a variety of environments including wildlife trusts and the Environment Agency. There is also a range of options in the fishing industry, from fish farms to fishing regulation and management.
The University’s reputation is such that there are opportunities in research working alongside major companies and organisations, which may include government or European Union based projects. There are also options for further study in higher education at Masters or PhD level, while some graduates opt to go into teaching.
