The Technology Club
The Technology Club was founded in 1996 under the auspices of the Institute for Chemistry in Industry as an organisation to allow collaboration between representatives of science-based industries, the University of Hull and Yorkshire & Lincolnshire schools and colleges to discuss and debate topics of mutual concern, and to receive information on those topics. Over the years the Technology Club has increased its industrial base to include a wide variety of companies trading in many different markets.
Purposes
To provide a forum for discussion and collaboration within the local chemical industry and related industries.
To forge links between local companies, the University of Hull and other educational establishments.
To co-ordinate the dissemination of information and technical assistance.
To provide facilities for professional and business meetings for local industry.
Activities
The Technology
Club stages a programme of monthly presentations, demonstrations or visits,
centred on industrial, analytical, legal and educational topics. Presentations are held in the Institute for Chemistry in Industry
and usually last for between one and two hours. If anyone has any
suggestions for future events, please feel free to e-mail
Michael Thompson.
