Postgraduate Certificate in Disaster and Emergency Management

 

This two-year part-time course has been designed to provide the knowledge and understanding to build the competence of professionals within the field of disaster and emergency management.  It is suitable for anyone involved in enabling their organization to be prepared for any disasters and emergencies that may befall them and thus be able to manage and minimize the impacts of such events on people and on the financial and operational condition of the organization.  It is delivered at the Cottingham Road campus in Hull over a series of one-week taught blocks.

Entry requirements are an honours degree or equivalent in health & safety management, environmental management or a science/management-related subject.  Alternatively A-levels in a science/business subject and not less than three years relevant experience.  Other qualifications and/or experience can be considered.
