Help to change the world
Chemists make substances that change the world, and you could join them. From modern medicine to climate change, solar cells to forensic science, and computer chips to low-fat chocolate, they all hinge on chemistry.
The University of Hull is the birthplace of one of the most important chemistry innovations in modern times – liquid crystals (LCDs), which made laptops, smartphones and flat-screen TVs possible.
And today, our students are still inspired by that same pioneering thinking, state-of-the-art facilities and research-led teaching.
We’re also at the heart of the second-largest chemical cluster in the UK, so we have a wealth of placement and job opportunities on our doorstep, and all our full-time courses are accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
