After completing a Primary PGCE at the University of Hull, Liz worked in East Riding schools for more than 20 years.

She has taught all year groups in key stages 1 and 2, and early years, been curriculum coordinator for R.E., PSHCE and Literacy, and been mentor to both students and NQTs.

Liz joined the Partnership Area Tutor team, on a permanent basis, in 2014 and works across all teaching programmes, supporting trainees and school-based mentors.

She is the lead Partnership Area Tutor for the Riding Forward Teaching School Alliance. She delivers some English lectures on various programmes and is a personal supervisor on the PGCE programme.

External roles

  • Worked for the East Riding Healthy Schools team, coordinating and revising the PSHCE curriculum and teaching drug awareness in schools.
  • Worked voluntarily for UNICEF, promoting children’s rights to primary children in schools in the Hull and East Riding authorities.
