Lisa began teaching full time at the University in April 2017, after working part-time as a lecturer practitioner.

She began her career as a Registered General Nurse (adult nurse), working on gastroenterology/medical specialist wards in Grimsby.

In 1995, Lisa completed midwifery training,and specialist public health nurse (health visitor) training in 1998. Consequently, her recent NHS career has focused on midwifery and community public health nursing.

Lisa completed a BSc in Health Professional Studies and has just completed an MSc in Health Studies (Leadership and Education). She is a qualified practice teacher and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
