Justin is Programme Director for Secondary PGCE and Lead Tutor on the PGCE Secondary Geography programme.

He taught in an 11-18 school in Staffordshire, as Head of Geography and Curriculum Enrichment Coordinator, for 25 years.

Justin then went on to work as a consultant for the Geographical Association (GA) at their headquarters in Sheffield.

He coordinated the Secondary Geography Quality Mark (SGQM) and now acts as a moderator of SGQM applications received from schools.

Justin has led numerous GA courses focusing on subject leadership in schools and acted as a GCSE Chief Examiner from 2004-2017.

  • Chartered Geographer (Teacher), through the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG). This recognises teachers who can demonstrate competence, experience and professionalism in the use of geographical knowledge and skills in and out of the classroom.
  • International trainer for CIE who has led training in New Zealand, India, China and Italy since 2016.
