Jane qualified as a home economist in the late 1980s completing her PGCE in 1991 at the University of Wales in Cardiff.

In 1995 she attained her MA in Education through the Open University. Prior to re-locating to North Lincolnshire, she worked for seven years in the examination industry where she was responsible for both GCSEs and A levels.

She joined the University of Hull in September 2012 as a part-time lecturer, becoming Lead for Learning and Teaching in August 2014.

In October 2015, Jane embarked upon the Doctorate in Education through the University of Hull.

  • The use of Video Enhanced Observation (VEO) in the education of teachers

  • Worked with partner schools on mentoring, both at pupil and teacher level
